Psychological Assessment
A psychological assessment can provide clarity when you’re feeling uncertain about yourself, your relationships, or your path forward.
Dr. Niloofar Tavakoli offers comprehensive psychological evaluations for children 6+ and adults to help identify patterns in thinking, behavior, emotional functioning, and relationships. These assessments are valuable for personal growth, academic or workplace needs, and treatment planning.
Why Seek an Evaluation?

An evaluation can offer a clearer picture of how your mind works and provide tailored recommendations for moving forward.

Types of Assessments Offered
1. Attention, Focus, and Learning
These evaluations explore concentration, planning, organization, and cognitive processing. They can help clarify whether difficulties with focus, productivity, or managing multiple responsibilities are connected to broader attention or learning patterns.
2. Social Communication and Developmental Patterns
These assessments explore how individuals navigate social interactions, communication, flexibility, and adaptive functioning. They can provide insight into how differences in processing or relating to others may impact relationships, school, work, or daily life.
3. Personality and Emotional Functioning
These evaluations examine patterns of thinking, emotions, and behavior that shape how people experience themselves and the world around them. This process can shed light on resilience, interpersonal style, self-image, and areas where growth may be possible.
4. Relational and Attachment Patterns
These assessments explore how early experiences, attachment styles, and relational dynamics influence current connections, communication, and intimacy. They can provide valuable insight for those wanting to deepen relationships, improve boundaries, or heal from past experiences.
Out of network
Dr. Tavakoli is an out-of-network provider, which means we do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to maintain the highest level of personalized care without the restrictions that often come with insurance panels.
That said, many of our clients successfully use their out-of-network insurance benefits to receive partial reimbursement for therapy. Depending on your plan and deductible, reimbursement often ranges from 50–80% of session costs for individual therapy.
To make this process easier, we provide you with the necessary documentation (a “superbill”) so you can submit it directly to your insurance company. Please let us know if you would like to obtain a superbill.
